The North Carolina VFW and Auxiliary offers the following different Scholarships for children and grandchildren of Post and Auxiliary members:

• Brown Scholarship - This scholarship is offered by the VFW, and was established to honor North Carolina's Past National Commander Otis N. Brown.
• Cameron Scholarship - This scholarship is offered by the VFW, and was established to honor North Carolina's Past National Commander Billy Ray Cameron.
• Mayberry Scholarship - This scholarship is offered by the Auxiliary, and was established to honor North Carolina's Past National President Erline Mayberry.

Application may be made for all three of these Scholarships. However, a student may only be awarded one of them.
